Job description

Maintenance Engineer / Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Gloucester | Type: Permanent | Salary: c £39,500 | Benefits: 32 days holiday (including BH), Enhanced pension, Healthcare scheme | Working hours: Monday to Friday, Day shift with early finish on Fridays

Overview: An excellent opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Engineer. You will play a key role in maintaining production equipment through planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment such as conveyors, shrink wrappers, ovens, and bottling machines.
  2. Install and commission new equipment as needed.
  3. Work on PLC controls and machinery.
  4. Conduct planned and preventative maintenance activities.
  5. Set up new equipment and production lines.
  6. Maintain facilities, including boilers and chillers.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Apprentice-trained in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical processes, including machining, welding, and fabricating.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of PLC controls and HVAC systems.
  • Additional skills in Microsoft Office or CAD are advantageous.
