Role & Responsibilities:
  • Comply with health and safety policies and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to minimize risks.
  • Lock off dangerous machinery or repair and notify as needed.
  • Resolve breakdowns, carry out preventative maintenance, and work on projects to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on offline machinery when time permits.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • HNC, City & Guilds, or time-served apprenticeship with appropriate engineering qualifications.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within a food manufacturing environment; experience in manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Electrically or mechanically biased, or multi-skilled.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience is highly desirable.
