Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is recruiting two Maintenance Engineers for a well-established steel processing business in Dudley. One Mechanical and one Electrical engineer will join an engineering team on a permanent basis, supporting production with a rotating 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm shift pattern.

You will carry out maintenance across plant and machinery, diagnose faults, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining accurate shift records.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Time-served apprenticeship would be advantageous.
• Previous maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across plant and machinery
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently
• Complete maintenance records and shift reports
• Support continuous improvement across the engineering function

Education

Permanent | Rotating 2 Shift Pattern (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established steel processing business looking to add two Maintenance Engineers to its engineering team - one Mechanical and one Electrical.

What you'll be doing

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across plant and machinery

Mechanical Engineers

will be involved in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, welding, fabrication, bench fitting and general mechanical maintenance.

Electrical Engineers

will carry out electrical fault finding, maintenance and repairs on motors, sensors, switches and control systems while supporting the wider engineering team.

About you
