Job summary

Probe UK is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support reliability and performance of site operations. The role starts on a rotating days-based shift and moves toward a permanent straight day schedule.

The package includes £45,000 with opportunities for growth, Bonus, premium OT, a 6% pension, training, life assurance and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Occasional travel to the Dudley site is expected in the initial months.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read electrical drawings.
• Apprentice trained with relevant maintenance background.
• Driving licence held is required.
• Wiring regulations advantageous.
• Machine tool/press experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on site equipment.
• Assist with movement and installation of brand-new machinery.
• Occasional travel to Dudley site during initial months.
• Maintain and fill maintenance logs.

A Maintenance Engineer is sought to join a successful manufacturing organisation at an exciting stage of development with significant investment. The role focuses on supporting the reliability and performance of site operations, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across modern equipment. The position initially operates on a rotating days-based shift pattern, moving toward a permanent straight day schedule.

Responsibilities

• Days shift pattern: 06:00–14:30 (week 1) / 10:30–19:00 (week 2); early finish Friday and later start Monday
• Assist with movement of machinery
• Assist with installation of brand-new machinery
• Occasional travel to Dudley site (initial months)
• Planned and reactive maintenance
• Fill in maintenance logs

Requirements

• Apprentice trained
• Ability to read electrical drawings
• Wiring regulations (advantageous)
• PLC knowledge (advantageous)
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
• Manufacturing maintenance experience
• Driving licence
• Machine tool or presses experience (advantageous)

Location & Eligibility

Commutable from: Redditch, Worcester, Droitwich, Kidderminster, Stourport, Stourbridge, Bromsgrove, Hagley, Halesowen, and surrounding areas. Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
