Job summary

Owen Daniels are partnering with a leading automotive manufacturer in Sutton Coldfield to recruit a Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on automated machinery, fault finding, repairs and preventive tasks to minimise downtime.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, monitor performance, and work with the production team to respond to breakdowns safely.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with automated machinery.
• Experience in an FMCG environment is desirable.
• Relevant technical qualifications (NVQ/HNC/HND/apprenticeship or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on automated machinery.
• Fault finding, repairs and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and implement effective solutions.

Job Description

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Work with electrical and mechanical systems, diagnosing faults and delivering effective solutions.
• Monitor machinery performance, identify recurring issues and implement improvements.
• Work closely with the production team to respond to breakdowns, complete maintenance tasks safely and ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Proven experience working with automated machinery
• Previous experience within an FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment
• Relevant qualifications, such as an NVQ, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent industry-recognised qualification.
