Pitreavie Packaging is seeking a versatile Maintenance Engineer to keep our Cumbernauld operation running at peak efficiency. You will perform maintenance across production equipment, diagnose faults and implement improvements while upholding safety standards.

This role requires hands-on problem solving and collaboration with production teams. We welcome applicants with time-served backgrounds and relevant NVQ/HNC qualifications, offering a competitive package and a 30% night premium on shifts.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineer with NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial maintenance environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Good health & safety understanding and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery in line with health & safety regulations.
• Work with production to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Salary: Competitive, (negotiable on experience) + 30% shift premium on nights
• Shifts: Rotating days (07:00 to 15:30, Monday to Friday) and nights (21:00 to 07:00, Monday to Thursday)
• Contract: Full-time, permanent

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of production equipment and machinery
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
• Supporting and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensuring the safe and effective operation of machinery in line with health and safety regulations
• Working with production and other departments to minimise downtime
• Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements

• Downtime reduction
• Planned maintenance completion rate
• Time to repair

What You'll Need

• Time-served engineer with a relevant NVQ Level 3 or HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• A good understanding of health & safety practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent IT skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
