Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in Coventry is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a modern, site-based manufacturing facility. You will work on advanced automated production equipment and provide proactive and reactive maintenance on a Monday–Friday day-shift oriented role, with rotating shifts.

The role focuses on maintaining Zünd or Kongsberg digital cutting tables, diagnosing faults, and working closely with production to maximise availability and minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience with Zünd or Kongsberg cutting tables.
• Experience in manufacturing or automated production environment.
• Good mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with planned preventative and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

Location: Coventry

Commutable from: Coventry, Nuneaton, Rugby, Bedworth, Warwick, Leamington Spa and Hinckley

Salary: £48,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts - Weekly

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a highly successful international manufacturing business.

Based at a modern facility in Coventry, you will work with advanced automated production equipment in a permanent, site-based role. This position would be particularly attractive to an engineer looking to move away from field service or regular travel into a stable Monday-to-Friday day shift.

The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining sophisticated manufacturing equipment, with a particular focus on Zünd or Kongsberg digital cutting tables. Experience with this equipment is desirable but not essential

Working closely with production, you will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment availability, improve reliability and minimise downtime.

Candidate Requirements

• Essential hands-on maintenance experience with Zünd or Kongsberg digital cutting tables
• Previous Maintenance Engineer experience within a manufacturing or automated production environment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance
• Good understanding of automated manufacturing equipment
• Ability to diagnose faults efficiently and minimise downtime
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of maintenance activities
• Proactive and methodical approach to equipment reliability
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production teams
• Strong commitment to health and safety
