Job summary

Pertemps Milton Keynes is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a Milton Keynes site. You will maintain and improve production equipment to maximise uptime.

This permanent, full-time role offers a Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm pattern, with occasional overtime, and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent required.
• Experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Experience with single-phase 240V electrical systems.

An Exciting Opportunity

Our client is a specialist manufacturing organisation producing high-performance products for demanding industrial sectors where quality, reliability and safety are essential. They are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to help maintain and improve production equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

The RoleAs a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving production and site equipment. Duties include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
• Performing electrical and mechanical fault-finding on industrial machinery.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Assisting with the installation, commissioning and modification of machinery.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety requirements.
• Working closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance.
• Managing critical spare parts stock levels.
• Liaising with external contractors when required.

About You

Essential

• Proven experience within a manufacturing maintenance environment or similar industry.
• Experience working with single-phase 240V electrical systems.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience maintaining industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance systems.
• NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent.

Desirable

• Experience working with three-phase electrical systems.
• NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
