Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform routine and reactive maintenance on manufacturing machinery at our Carlisle site. You will ensure Health & Safety compliance, support both mechanical and electrical tasks, and work closely with the Engineering Team to drive equipment reliability and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in both planned and reactive maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to root cause analysis and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work.
• Support mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance activities.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Team and report to the Engineering Manager.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of equipment reliability and production efficiency.

Role Overview

About you

We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual with a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in either mechanical or electrical engineering who is ready to take the next step in their career.

We welcome candidates with a background in manufacturing who are eager for a new challenge and have experience in both planned and reactive maintenance roles.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to root cause analysis and problem-solving, possess excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels, and be a true team player who is keen to learn from others, share knowledge and support the wider team.
