Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer in Cardiff on a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift. The role offers a starting salary of £42,000, with a banding system progressing to £50,000 as you grow in the role.

You will join an experienced engineering team focused on reliability and minimizing downtime. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, attend breakdowns, and contribute to continuous improvements across the site, with opportunities for training

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong fault-finding skills (electrical and/or mechanical) and diagnostic ability.
• Experience performing planned and reactive maintenance (PPM).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on site machinery.
• Attend machinery breakdowns and diagnose faults.
• Support continuous improvement across the site.

The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing business in Cardiff.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to join a busy, fast-paced environment with strong earning and development potential.The position offers a starting salary of £42,000, with a structured salary banding system offering progression up to £50,000 per annum as you develop within the role.Working on a 4 on 4 off Days & Nights shift pattern, you will become part of an experienced engineering team responsible for ensuring maximum machinery reliability and keeping downtime to a minimum.As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, attending machinery breakdowns, fault finding and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Skills Required

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer
• Experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance
• Ability to diagnose and repair machinery breakdowns
• A recognised engineering qualification
• Experience working with automated production machinery would be advantageous
