Job summary

Orion Electrotech recruits a Maintenance Engineer for a well-established manufacturing site in Cambridgeshire. You will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown repairs, fault finding and driving continuous improvement across automated production equipment.

Working with production teams, you will keep equipment safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance, using a CMMS to maintain accurate records and support uptime.

Qualifications

• Electrical fault-finding skills required.
• Understanding of PLC logic and automated systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance activities.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown repair, fault finding and continuous improvement activities across a wide range of automated production equipment.

Working closely with production teams, you will ensure equipment remains safe, compliant and operating at optimum performance levels.
