Job summary

Kinetic plc is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role in Blackburn. The position offers a £48,000 per annum salary, with options for 4 on 4 off days/nights or a permanent 18:00-06:00 shift.

You will work on food processing machinery and contribute to preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. Applicants should have strong electrical and mechanical skills, PLC fault finding ability, and experience with CMMS; an engineering apprenticeship with BTEC ONC/HNC/HND in

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a small team of multi-disciplined engineers
• Undertake PPMs on equipment
• Action repairs and record measures to recognise recurrent faults
• Liaise with Engineering Manager and Senior Engineer to ensure supply of parts
• Minimise downtime on machine breakdowns
• Continually develop skills and knowledge
• Comply with health, safety and environmental policies

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Permanent)

Location: Blackburn, England, North West

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £48000 per annum

Shift: 4 on 4 off days and nights OR 18.00 - 06.00 (looking for either)

Are you an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer who has worked on food processing machinery, looking for your next permanent position? Is Blackburn an area you can easily commute to work? Would a salary of £48000 be OK for you plus overtime? Are you happy working either a 4 on 4 off days and nights (with no Sat nights) OR a permanent 18.00 - 06.00 shift? Happy doing PPM's and reactive maintenance? If you have answered "yes" to the above questions then this may be the right role for you.

Duties

• Work as part of a small team of multi-disciplined engineers
• Undertake PPM's on equipment
• Action repairs and ensure all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised
• Liaise with the Engineering Manager and Senior Engineer to ensure the supply of appropriate parts
• Minimise the amount of downtime suffered by the site following machine breakdowns
• Continually develop your skills and knowledge
• Comply with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures

Skills required

• Strong Electrical and Mechanical knowledge and ability on Food processing machinery
• Process control knowledge.
• Competent in building electrical control systems from switchgear through to software implementation.
• Engineering apprenticeship and associated qualifications such as BTEC ONC, HNC, HND in Electrical Engineering is essential
• Have a proven track record in an Engineering and fault-finding role gained from within a FMCG environment.
• Have a good understanding of HACCP, COSHH and GMP principles
• Drive Root Cause Analysis and strive to prevent re-occurrence with counter measures.
• PLC fault finding.
• CMMS experience and knowledge.
• Ability to deploy and execute the preventative maintenance strategy for the site.
