The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery, ensuring reliability and minimal downtime.

You will work on a Panama 2s & 3s shift, with salary up to £45,000 and opportunities for training and development within a stable, long-term engineering team.

Qualifications

• Experienced maintenance engineer in manufacturing environment.
• Skilled in electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
• Ability to fault-find and diagnose electrical/mechanical issues.
• Comfortable with Panama 2s & 3s shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machinery and equipment.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and complete reactive maintenance.
• Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
• Complete repairs efficiently to minimise production downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and machinery reliability initiatives.
• Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment remains operational.
• Complete engineering documentation and maintenance records.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety.
• Support engineering projects and equipment improvements where required.

Skills Required

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience within a manufacturing, production or FMCG environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Comfortable working a Panama 2s & 3s Days & Nights shift pattern.
• Relevant engineering qualification would be advantageous.
