Job summary

Probe UK Limited is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team across two sites near Leicester. You will maintain production and process equipment, respond to breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to keep operations safe and reliable.

The role operates a 40-hour rotational shift (early, late and night). Benefits include up to £48,000 salary, 31 days leave, sick pay after probation, health plan, and opportunities to work across the two sites.

Qualifications

• Qualified Maintenance Electrician by Apprenticeship, City and Guilds, BTEC or equivalent.
• Dual skilled with strong electrical disciplines.
• Experience in planned preventative maintenance and fault finding.

Job description

Due to continued development within our Maintenance Department, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a team of engaged solutions-focused maintenance engineers who play a vital role in keeping our operations running safely, efficiently and reliably.

Working across our two sites, just one mile apart, you'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of production and process equipment, responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and helping us continually improve the safety, quality and efficiency of our assets.

Shift pattern is a 40‑hour rotational shift pattern covering earlies, lates and nights, with nights approximately 1 week in 5. We offer for the Maintenance Electrician:

• Up to £48,000 salary, depending on qualifications and experience
• 31 days' annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays
• Annual leave increases to 32 days after 5 years' service
• Your birthday off after 2 years' service
• 8 weeks' company sick pay following successful completion of probation

You will need to be a qualified Maintenance Electrician by Apprenticeship, City and Guilds, BTEC or equivalent, dual skilled with strong skills across electrical disciplines. Some key skills involve:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities using our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime
• Fault finding on electrical panels and control systems
• Carrying out mechanical maintenance across a varied range of production equipment
• Working with pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, motors, belts and associated equipment
• Promptly escalating and following up any PPM non-compliance with the Line Manager or Senior Engineer to reduce business risk

The role of Maintenance Electrician is commutable from: Leicester, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray and Ashby de la Zouch.
