Job summary

Probe UK is seeking a proactive Maintenance Electrician to join our global manufacturing operations, resolving reactive breakdowns and driving down machine downtime.

On a continental shift pattern (4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off) you will provide breakdown cover, perform PMs on machines and automation equipment, and support improvements in our automated production environment, including injection moulding.

Qualifications

• Time-served engineer with electrical bias and multi-skilled capability.
• Experience in automated/production/injection moulding environments is advantageous.
• Able to provide shift breakdown cover and perform PMs.
• Commitment to safe working practices and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift breakdown cover on machines, automation equipment and ancillary systems.
• Perform planned and preventive maintenance (PPM) on machinery.
• Carry out breakdown repairs and safety improvements as needed.
• Support progressive improvements of our manufacturing processes.

Job description

Following continued development within the Maintenance department, we're looking for a proactive and hands-on Maintenance Electrician to join a global leader resolving reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum.

Working a Continental shift of 4 days 4 off 4 nights 4 off, in return for your Maintenance skills and experience, we offer for the Maintenance Electrician:

• £47,153.85 (including shift allowance)
• 23 days holiday + 8 Bank Holiday
• Annual pay review
• Auto-enrolment people's pension
• Christmas shutdown
• Opportunity (post-probation) for contractual overtime taking annual salary to £53,359.53

You must be a time served engineer - electrical bias, preferably multi skilled. Self-motivated with the will to improve the equipment effectiveness. Experience of working in an Automated/ Production/ Injection moulding environment is a definite advantage. Some key responsibilities include:

• To provide shift breakdown cover on all machines, automation equipment and any ancillary equipment.
• To provide PPM on machines, automation equipment and any ancillary equipment.
• To work in an efficient and safe manner on breakdown repairs on all equipment
• To support and implement progressive improvements of our existing manufacturing

The role of Maintenance Electrician is commutable from: Melton Mowbray, Corby, Leicester, Kettering, Market Harborough, Grantham and Peterborough.
