Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for a prestigious static site in Durham. The role offers a Monday–Friday days pattern with a salary of £40,000–£42,000, plus overtime, standby and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance, driving high standards and reliability. The ideal candidate will hold City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 (or Level 2/3) and the 17th/18th Edition, with strong fault-finding skills and a professional

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Part 1/2 or Level 2/3 Electrical qualifications.
• Knowledge of 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience in commercial/industrial electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales.
• Complete electrical maintenance, repairs and minor works to a high standard.
• Support other engineers and technicians with maintenance activities.
• Prioritise and complete maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available, serviceable and fit for purpose.
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and paperwork.
• Represent the company professionally and build strong client relationships.
• Keep CAFM system updated with live job information.

Maintenance Electrician - Static Site | Durham

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join one of the world's leading Facilities Management companies, working on a prestigious and high-profile static site in Durham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled electrician looking for a stable Monday-Friday days role, with excellent earning potential, career progression and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales.
• Complete electrical maintenance, repairs and minor works to a high standard.
• Support other engineers and technicians with both major and minor maintenance activities.
• Prioritise and complete maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure all required tools and equipment are available, serviceable and fit for purpose.
• Accurately complete all relevant maintenance documentation and paperwork.
• Provide support across other sites within the cluster when required.
• Work closely with both client and company colleagues to maintain high standards of quality and service.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with agreed KPIs, health & safety requirements and company procedures.
• Keep the Mercury CAFM system fully updated with accurate, live job information.
• Represent the company professionally and build strong working relationships with colleagues and the client.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation OR Level 2/3 Electrical qualification
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Previous experience in commercial or industrial electrical maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A professional approach with excellent customer and communication skills
