You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical plant, ensuring safety, compliance and operability. The salary ranges from £40,000 to £42,000 with overtime and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation OR Level 2/3 Electrical qualification.
• Experience with commercial/industrial electrical maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Complete electrical maintenance, repairs and minor works to a high standard.
• Support engineers and technicians with maintenance activities.
• Maintain safety, quality and KPIs and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Work with client and colleagues to uphold service standards.

Maintenance Electrician - Static Site | Durham

£40,000-£42,000 + Overtime + Standby + Excellent Benefits

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join one of the world's leading Facilities Management companies, working on a prestigious and high-profile static site in Durham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled electrician looking for a stable Monday-Friday days role, with excellent earning potential, career progression and a comprehensive benefits package.

Working as part of a professional engineering team within a large distribution centre, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and general building maintenance across a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment. You'll play an important role in ensuring the site remains safe, compliant and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales.
• Complete electrical maintenance, repairs and minor works to a high standard.
• Support other engineers and technicians with both major and minor maintenance activities.
• Prioritise and complete maintenance tasks efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure all required tools and equipment are available, serviceable and fit for purpose.
• Accurately complete all relevant maintenance documentation and paperwork.
• Provide support across other sites within the cluster when required.
• Work closely with both client and company colleagues to maintain high standards of quality and service.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with agreed KPIs, health & safety requirements and company procedures.
• Keep the Mercury CAFM system fully updated with accurate, live job information.
• Represent the company professionally and build strong working relationships with colleagues and the client.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation OR Level 2/3 Electrical qualification
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Previous experience in commercial or industrial electrical maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A professional approach with excellent customer and communication skills
