Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join a national facilities management client. The role covers Birmingham, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Peterborough and Bristol, handling electrical maintenance in large commercial settings.

The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair and maintain electrical systems to ensure safety and optimal operation, with a strong background in commercial maintenance and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in facilities management.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical systems and identify issues for prompt resolution.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot faults and implement effective solutions to restore function.
• Install, repair and maintain wiring, circuit breakers and lighting fixtures.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and contractors for repairs and upgrades.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.

Mobile Maintenance Electrician - Birmingham - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Commercial Sector

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our national client on a permanent basis, who are a leading provider in facilities management solutions, delivering top-tier services across large commercial environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance within commercial settings, as they will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

This is a mobile opportunity, covering Birmingham, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Peterborough and Bristol.

Package:

• Competitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Van & fuel card supplied
• Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
• Participation in an 'out of hours' on call rota (to be confirmed)
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and ensure the longevity of electrical equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, such as wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a secure working environment

Qualifications:

• Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
