Job summary

Generator London is seeking an experienced Maintenance Crew member to join our team. This hands-on role involves keeping the building in top condition, replacing broken fixtures, performing repairs, and maintaining high decor standards across the property.

You will handle preventive maintenance across front and back of house, ensure guest comfort, uphold safety responsibilities, and work collaboratively with colleagues from other departments to embody Generator's brand and culture.

Qualifications

• Hands-on attitude with attention to detail.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing or decoration is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role, preferably hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall appearance of the building and decor, replace lamps and fittings.
• Carry out preventive maintenance across front and back of house, rooms and exterior.
• Prioritize guest comfort and impression in all tasks.
• Keep safety and asset records up to date.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use.
• Comply with local legislation and safety regulations (H&S, building & Fire).
• Support brand and culture across social spaces and collaborate with other teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Maintain the overall appearance of the building; replacing broken lamps, bedroom fixtures & fittings, carrying out general repairs & maintaining high standards to decor & paintwork etc. throughout the building
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout all areas of the premise, including both front and back of house and rooms, interior and exterior
• Ensure that all tasks relating to guest comfort, guest satisfaction or the impression the guest receives of the hotel must be treated with utmost priority
• Maintain all safety and asset register records at all times
• Take responsibility for all equipment onsite ensuring that it is maintained and ready for use at all times
• Have a comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure that you comply with all statutory local legislation and regulation, in particular, H&S, building regulations and Fire Safety
• Ensure that our social spaces embody the Generator brand and culture
• Maintain a good working relationship with your colleagues creating a team that works well together and with other departments

WHO YOU ARE

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• Have Technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing and decoration
• Have at least 2 years’ experience, ideally within hospitality background, in a similar role
