Job summary

Vincere in Felixstowe is seeking a Maintenance Controller (Tyres + Mechanical) to triage defects, coordinate tyre lifecycle, and manage repairs.

You will work Monday to Friday 08:00-17:30, with a salary of £30,000 dependent on experience, and join a growing logistics team.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance control, workshop control, service advising, or fleet admin.
• Strong tyre knowledge and solid mechanical understanding (brakes, suspension, steering, electrics).
• Excellent supplier management, negotiation, and communication with drivers, depots, technicians and customers.
• Comfortable using fleet maintenance/telematics systems and MS Office/Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Triage defects from drivers/telematics and authorise repairs within limits.
• Coordinate workshops, mobile mechanics, and tyre partners to minimise VOR.
• Manage tyre inspections, repairs, rotations, replacements, and casing returns.
• Track PMIs, MOT prep, service schedules, and compliance documentation.
• Control costs, challenge quotes, and utilise warranties/recalls.
• Maintain accurate records and keep stakeholders updated on ETAs and job status.
