Job summary

BA Cityflyer is looking for a Maintrol Engineer to join our Manchester-based head office team. You will coordinate between line stations, maintenance providers and pilots, ensuring safe, reliable operations and efficient defect handling.

The role requires UK/EASA Part-66 B1/B2 licence, experience in a maintenance environment, and strong analytical and communication skills. A shift-based, on-site position in Manchester with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK/EASA Part-66 B1 or B2 licence.
• Experience in a maintenance or maintenance-control environment.
• Proven ability to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Experience improving efficiency and reducing operational costs.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes.
• Good understanding of airline operations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the central coordination point between Line Stations, third-party maintenance providers and pilots to ensure safe and reliable daily operations.
• Manages scheduled and unscheduled Line Maintenance activities, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and maintenance programme requirements.
• Controls and monitors ADDs, coordinating spares, tooling and documentation.
• Supports aircraft recovery through technical guidance and logistics coordination.
• Provides real-time technical assistance to flight crews and engineers during issues.
• Coordinates information flow after incidents and assists recovery planning.
• Allocates aircraft per priorities across operations, engineering and maintenance.
• Improves aircraft and Engineering performance using prognostic tools.
