Job summary

BA Cityflyer in Manchester is seeking a Maintrol Engineer to act as the central coordination point between line stations, maintenance providers and pilots, ensuring safe, reliable daily operations across the airline network.

You will lead line maintenance activities, manage ADDs, support aircraft recovery, provide real-time technical support to crews, coordinate post-incident information flow and help allocate aircraft to priorities.

Qualifications

• Licence under UK/EASA Part 66 (B1 or B2).
• Experience in a maintenance or maintenance control environment.
• Ability to deliver cost effective solutions and improve efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes.
• Good understanding of airline operations and procedures.
• Computer literate with maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Acts as central coordination point between Line Stations, third party maintenance providers and pilots.
• Manages scheduled and unscheduled Line Maintenance activities with regulatory compliance.
• Controls ADDs, drives timely rectification and coordinates spares, tooling, docs.
• Supports aircraft recovery through technical guidance and logistics coordination.
• Provides real time technical assistance to flight crews and engineers.
• Coordinates information flow after incidents and supports recovery planning.
• Allocates aircraft in line with operational and maintenance priorities.
• Improves aircraft and engineering performance using monitoring and prognostic tools.
• Provides specialist technical support as required with safety and regulatory awareness.
