Job summary

Pin Point Recruitment seeks an experienced Maintenance & Automation Technician for a fast-paced automotive manufacturing site in Sunderland. You will keep automated production equipment running safely and efficiently, performing planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding and supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, maintaining automated equipment, PLC/robotics/HMI support, and installation

Qualifications

HNC in Electrical Engineering required.
Mechatronics or related discipline required.
Time-served electrical apprenticeship required.
Hands-on KUKA and/or ABB robotics experience.
Strong Siemens TIA Portal experience.
Certified PLC programming capability.
Experience with Atlas Copco/Ingersoll Rand tooling.
Vision system experience.

Responsibilities

Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic fault-finding on automated equipment.
Maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment to keep lines running.
PLC, robotics & HMI support in production environment.
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance.
Install and optimize new equipment and processes.
Root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Adhere to LOTO, 5S and Safe Systems of Work.
