Job summary

Pin-Point-Recruitment in Sunderland seeks an experienced Maintenance & Automation Technician for a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. You will keep automated production equipment running safely and efficiently, performing planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding and supporting continuous improvement.

You will work with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, program PLCs and robotics, install and optimise new equipment, and carry out root-cause analysis

Qualifications

HNC in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline.
Time-served electrical apprenticeship.
Hands-on KUKA and/or ABB robotics experience.
Strong Siemens TIA Portal experience.
Certified PLC programming capability.
Experience with Atlas Copco/Ingersoll Rand tooling.
Vision system experience.

Responsibilities

Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic fault-finding.
Maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment.
PLC, robotics & HMI support.
Preventative and reactive maintenance.
Installation and optimisation of new equipment.
Root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Working to LOTO, 5S and Safe Systems of Work.
