Job summary

Bishopstrow Hotel & Spa in Wiltshire seeks a Spa & Hot Tub Technician to keep our pools, spa facilities and outdoor tubs safe, clean and ready for guests.

You will perform daily checks, minor repairs and maintain water hygiene, while recording all checks. If needed, you’ll pursue STA Level 3 within the first three months, showing reliability and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience with pools, spas or wet leisure facilities.
• Good understanding of water hygiene and safe working practices.
• Targeted training to achieve STA Level 3 within three months if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Keep pools, spa facilities and outdoor hot tubs safe, clean and ready for guests.
• Perform daily checks, routine maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs.
• Take responsibility for water testing and maintaining chemical levels.
• Maintain accurate records of checks, water quality and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Spa, Housekeeping, Front Office and Maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job description

Working closely with our Property Manager, no two days will be quite the same!

Responsibilities

• Keep everything running smoothly - From our pools and outdoor hot tubs to those in our guest rooms, you'll make sure everything is safe, clean and ready to enjoy.
• Get hands-on - Carry out daily checks, routine maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs, spotting problems before they become bigger ones.
• Know your water - Take responsibility for water testing, chemical levels, pool plant equipment and keeping our facilities safe and compliant.
• Keep on top of the detail - Maintain accurate records of checks, water quality and maintenance. Health and safety is a big part of this role.
• Be part of the wider team - Work alongside Spa, Housekeeping, Front Office and Maintenance to make sure everything comes together for a great guest experience.

You'll have some previous experience working with pools, spas, hot tubs or wet leisure facilities, along with a good understanding of water hygiene and safe working practices. Ideally, you'll already have a Pool Plant Operator qualification (STA Level 3 or equivalent), but if not, you'll be happy to achieve this within your first three months. Most importantly, you're practical, reliable, have a great eye for detail and are comfortable taking responsibility for getting things done properly.
