The Inn Collection Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for their coastal venue in North Shields. You will help keep facilities safe, comfortable and well-maintained, supporting daily operations and guest comfort.

You will perform routine inspections, basic repairs and coordinate with the team to ensure high standards of safety and efficiency across boiler, electrical and safety systems.

Formación

• Background in building maintenance and safety compliance.
• Experience with boilers, electrical systems and fire safety equipment.
• Ability to perform planned maintenance and minor repairs with attention to detail.

Sitting in a commanding position overlooking the expansive Longsands Beach, this art deco-style building has been completely renovated. Located in Tynemouth, it offers stunning views of the coastline and easy access to the seafront. The building houses a pub restaurant with 250 internal and 300 external covers, a fish and chip takeaway, and an ice cream and coffee parlour, adding to the vibrant coastal experience.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll play avital role in ensuring our facilities are safe, comfortable, and in excellentcondition. Your responsibilities include daily checks on boilers, electricalsystems, and fire safety equipment, along with inspecting and replacing lightbulbs and securing fire doors. You’ll conduct regular inspections of roofs,gutters, and walkways to address hazards and maintain outdoor areas, includinggardening and external housekeeping.

You’ll handle planned maintenance taskslike painting and grouting, as well as unplanned repairs. Basic plumbing,electrical, and joinery skills are essential, along with a focus on compliancethrough ladder checks, fire alarm tests, and utility readings. A proactive,can-do attitude will help you confidently tacke varied tasks with care andprecision.
