Job summary

Places for People is hiring a Maintenance Assistant for a permanent, on-site role at The Quays, Lightship Way, Colchester. You will work on a large site, carrying out summer maintenance to a high standard, and may work independently or as part of a team.

Post-probation you will be on call; a basic DBS check is mandatory. The role includes a competitive salary, training and development opportunities, and a benefits package with discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role (construction or maintenance) is desirable.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Good communication and adherence to Health and Safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance tasks on a large site to a high standard.
• Work as part of a team or independently and manage workload effectively.
• Be on site 5 days a week from 8:30am to 5pm at The Quays, Colchester.
• Post-probation, be on-call as required.

More about your role

We are looking to hire a Maintenance Assistant on a permanent basis. You will be working on a large site and expected to carry out summer maintenance to a high standard. Working either as part of team or individually, you will be expected to manage your workload effectively.

This role is based on site 5 days a week withat The Quays,Lightship Way, Colchester CO2 8GYwith working hours of 8:30am – 5pm.

Post probation, you will be on call.

More about you

Experience in a similar role is desired though not essential. You will possess a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to those around you. You will be compliant with Health and Safety and manage tasks end to end.

• Customer Service experience,
• Excellent communication skills.
