Job summary

Places for People is hiring a Maintenance Operative for a permanent, on-site role at Beton House. You will report to the General Manager and help keep the site well maintained, addressing technical issues and supporting residents with ad hoc requests.

Working hours are 9.30am–6pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch and a mandatory basic DBS check. Ideal candidates have a trades background, with plumbing/decorating experience and mechanical/electrical qualifications considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have maintenance experience and trades background.
• Experience in plumbing and decorating is desirable.
• Mechanical or electrical qualifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site to a high standard and minimise technical issues.
• Assist with health and safety compliance and provide excellent customer service to residents.
• Support procurement of goods and respond to residents' ad hoc requests.

More about your role

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Operative on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure that the site is well maintained and technical issues minimised.

This role is based on site Monday to Friday at Beton House with working hours of 9.30am – 6pm (with a 30 minute lunch break).

On a daily basis, you will assist with health and safety issues and ensure that a high level of customer service is maintained throughout the site. In addition, you will assist in the procurement of goods and residents with ad hoc requests.

At Places for People, we are committed to a safe working environment so a basic DBS check is mandatory.

More about you

The ideal candidate will have maintenance experience. Previous experiencewithin hospitality is also desired thought not essential.

The successful candidatewill have:
