Aspris Care is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help create safe, homely environments for children in residential homes. You will be based at a regional hub and work mainly at care homes, with a provided vehicle and tools.

The role focuses on keeping homes well-maintained, supporting staff with grounds upkeep, and coordinating external maintenance contractors to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. A values-led organisation awaits your application.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining homes to a high standard.
• Advise site staff on grounds maintenance to a decent standard.
• Coordinate works by external contractors when needed.
• Oversee quality of external maintenance works, ensuring safe completion per policy and regulations.
• Help ensure maintenance records and compliance documents are accurate and up to date.

As a Maintenance Assistant in our Care Division, you will be part of a team who help create safe and homely environments for the young people in our residential children's homes.

You will be based at one of our regional hubs but will work mainly at our care homes. You will be provided a vehicle and appropriate tools.

Your responsibilities will include

• Ensuring that the homes are maintained to a high standard.
• Helping and advising site staff in maintaining grounds to a decent standard.
• Coordinating works undertaken by external contractors as necessary.
• Overseeing the quality of maintenance works undertaken by external contractors, ensuring that they are completed safely, in accordance with Aspris policy and statutory regulations.
• Advising and supporting the homes to ensure that maintenance records and compliance documentation are completed accurately.
