Job summary

Malmaison Manchester Deansgate is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to oversee the property’s maintenance, facilities upkeep and a maintenance team. The role focuses on completing daily tasks and ensuring guest standards are met during their stay.

You will manage schedules, coordinate with contractors, and uphold health and safety while delivering hands-on maintenance in a luxury hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a maintenance department of a similar quality hotel is required.
• Knowledge of electrics is beneficial.
• Knowledge of health and safety is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general maintenance of the property and upkeep of its facilities.
• Manage the maintenance team to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Complete the daily job list and preventative maintenance schedules with attention to detail.
• Liaise with contractors and uphold health and safety standards.

Taking responsibility for the general maintenance of the property, upkeep of its facilities and the management of the maintenance team, the Maintenance Assistant is there to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently to ensure that the guest expectations are met during their stay. You will be required to complete the daily job list and preventative maintenance schedules with an eye for detail and a passion for fixing things! You must meet time deadlines, liaise with contractors and take responsibility for health and safety. You must be organised, an excellent communicator, and a hands-on individual who has excellent attention to detail. Experience of working in a maintenance department of a similar quality hotel is required and knowledge of electrics and health and safety are beneficial.
