Mornington Court is a luxury 57-bed care home offering the finest residential and dementia care in a luxurious setting.

The main function of this role is to support the Maintenance Manager in maintaining all areas within the home. The Maintenance Assistant's primary responsibility is to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. This role requires a hands-on team player with good organisational skills. The Maintenance Assistant interacts positively with all team members, maintains occupancy levels by preparing vacant rooms promptly, and responds quickly to maintenance concerns.

You need to be reliable, hardworking, and flexible with working hours, which may include some weekends.

Experience in general maintenance, plumbing, painting, decorating, or carpentry is preferred.

Main Responsibilities

1. Assist in the daily maintenance of the home, addressing faults or repairs within your capability and company guidelines.
2. Support department heads in identifying areas for improvement and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
3. Maintain the home to the agreed maintenance standards.
4. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and concerns from residents, families, and team members, using the home's reporting system.
5. Receive and store maintenance-related deliveries appropriately.
6. Ensure all machinery and equipment are safe and operational.
