Job summary

Hotel du Vin Wimbledon is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our facilities team. The role focuses on general maintenance, keeping guest areas well‑presented, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of all hotel facilities.

You will proactively manage daily tasks and preventative maintenance to meet guest expectations during their stay. Predominantly weekend cover with a permanent contract, this position offers the chance to grow within a quality hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel maintenance environment preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety best practices beneficial.
• Electrical knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the property and facilities and oversee maintenance tasks.
• Manage the maintenance team to ensure jobs are completed on time.
• Coordinate with contractors and ensure health and safety standards are met.

Under 18's rate: £10.85 per hour

Taking responsibility for the general maintenance of the property, upkeep of its facilities and the management of the maintenance team, as Maintenance Assistant you are there to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently to ensure that the guest expectations are met during their stay.

You will be required to proactively complete the daily job list and preventative maintenance schedules with an eye for detail and a passion for fixing things!

You must be able to work to deadlines, be confident in liaising with contractors and taking responsibility for health and safety. You must be organised, an good communicator, and have excellent attention to detail. Experience of working in a maintenance department of a similar quality hotel is required and knowledge of electrics and health and safety are beneficial.
