Marie Curie UK's Glasgow Hospice is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the facilities team in a permanent, full-time role. You will carry out safety checks, monitor plant rooms and oxygen systems, and coordinate contractors to keep the hospice environment safe and welcoming for patients and families.
You'll use computerised systems for records and maintenance documentation, apply COSHH and safety guidelines, and work with clinical and admin teams to support high-quality care.

At our Glasgow Hospice, we are currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our facilities team. Our Maintenance Assistants play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and well‑maintained environment for patients, families, visitors and colleagues every day.
No two days are the same in this varied and rewarding role. From carrying out essential safety and compliance checks, monitoring plant rooms and oxygen systems, and responding to maintenance issues, to coordinating contractors, supporting hospice operations and working closely with clinical and administrative teams, you'll be at the heart of keeping our hospice running smoothly. You'll also play an important part in supporting sensitive end‑of‑life processes with professionalism, dignity and respect, ensuring our patients and families receive the highest standard of care and support.
