Job summary

DCV TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED is recruiting an experienced Software Engineer to join our Core Banking Platform team in the UK. You will develop and maintain business-critical retail banking applications on Unisys mainframes.

The role requires COBOL, DMS 1100, batch processing and strong analytical skills. You will work in a hybrid setup with at least two days onsite, contributing to Agile delivery and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of Unisys mainframe experience.
• Strong COBOL programming expertise.
• Hands-on experience with DMS 1100 hierarchical databases.
• Retail banking domain knowledge.
• Experience with batch processing and job scheduling.
• Analytical, detail-oriented problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance software applications using Unisys COBOL and DMS 1100.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Investigate issues, troubleshoot and implement fixes.
• Assess the impact of changes on interfacing systems.
• Support system and integration testing activities.
• Participate in Agile delivery with daily stand-ups and project updates.
