Job summary

DCV Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a Core Banking Platform engineering team, developing and maintaining business-critical retail banking applications. The role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of two days onsite per week.

The position requires strong COBOL programming experience and hands-on work with Unisys mainframes and DMS 1100 hierarchical databases.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Unisys mainframes.
• Strong COBOL programming experience.
• Hands-on experience with DMS 1100 hierarchical databases.
• Functional knowledge of retail banking.
• Experience with batch processing and job scheduling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance software applications using Unisys COBOL and DMS 1100.
• Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Investigate application issues, troubleshoot existing software and implement necessary fixes.
• Assess and communicate the impact of changes on interfacing systems.
• Support system testing and integration testing activities.
• Participate in Agile delivery processes, including daily stand-ups and project updates.
