Overview:

This role is part of our Saab Seaeye Business Unit.

The Main Assembly Production Team Lead will be tasked with leading the Main Assembly production of our Remotely Operated Vehicles within our brand-new Trilogy Facility in Fareham, providing direction, instruction, and guidance to the multiple manufacturing teams to ensure operations are conducted safely, within budgets, and to quality standards.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  1. To develop a strategy the team will use to meet set goals and targets.
  2. To provide for and monitor any training that team members may need.
  3. To communicate clear instructions to team members.
  4. To listen to team members' feedback and drive Continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. To manage the flow of daily operations.
  6. To report on team progress and update the company.
  7. To distribute reports to the appropriate personnel.

General accountabilities and responsibilities:

  1. To drive the company's 6S policy and achieve high standards in own area, instructing the team on the proper use of safety equipment and knowledge of emergency procedures while reporting any safety/security incidents that occur.
  2. To ensure quality standards are maintained and improved, and all operations activities comply with regulation throughout the process.
  3. To ensure on-time delivery of Electrical subassemblies and finished components to internal and external customer requirements.
  4. To use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in day-to-day activities and procedures within the specified role.
  5. To support and mentor team members, ensuring individual skills and flexibility are continually being developed.
  6. To suggest and organise team building activities.
  7. To encourage creativity and innovation within a controlled and safe process.
  8. To recognise high performance and reward accomplishments within the team.
  9. To maintain personal ability in, and appropriate use of, all relevant IT (Information & Technology) and other systems required to adequately perform the role.
  10. To act ethically, with integrity and in the best interest of the business at all times.
  11. To maintain a professional and supportive relationship with team members and other departments in order to deliver business and delivery objectives or deadlines.
  12. To carry out any other duties as detailed by your Supervisor or Manager from time to time.
  13. To keep good time management to minimise any wasted time and maximise productivity and effectiveness.

Key Requirements:

  1. Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC level or equivalent).
  2. Leadership/coaching experience.
  3. HV qualifications – supervisory level.
