Job summary

Blue Planet seeks a Warehouse Parcel Sorter at the Stoke On Trent centre. You will sort parcels and mail, load and unload items, and keep the area clean, safe, and organised to support high-volume operations.

Shifts run five days out of seven: PM 14:00-22:00 (£15.14/hr) and Night 22:00-06:00 (£16.44/hr). A 40‑minute unpaid break is provided per shift. DBS checks are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• 5 years of active history (must).
• Experience in warehousing, parcel sorting, or a similar physical role preferred.
• Physically fit and able to lift/move parcels throughout the shift.
• UK right to work.

Job description

We're looking for a talented Warehouse Parcel/ Mail Sorters to work for our client at Blue Planet, Stoke On Trent centre.

They want to recruit someone with demonstrable background of previous experience in the field.

The Role:

As the Warehouse Parcel Sorter you'll report to the Team Leader and will be primarily responsible for work in a team and work well under pressure and in new environments on a daily basis. It is a fast paced environment and you'll be working to efficient methods in order to meet client business performance targets. A mail centre can process over a million items in a shift and you'll be a valuable part of making that happen.

Shifts: (working 5 days out of 7):

• PM Shift: 14:00 - 22:00 - £15.14 per hour
• Night Shift: 22:00 - 06:00 - £16.44 per hour

Breaks: 40-minute unpaid break per shift

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

• Manually sorting parcels and mail by postcode
• Loading and unloading vehicles and cages
• Keeping the work area clean, safe, and organised
• Working efficiently to tight deadlines

Requirements:

• 5 years of active history(must)
• Experience: Ideally 3 months' recent experience in warehousing, parcel sorting, or a similar physical role
• Physically fit - able to lift and move parcels throughout the shift
• Punctual, dependable, and detail-focused
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• A strong work ethic and 'can-do' attitude
• UK right to work

In addition, you'll need the following:

• An excellent communication, team work
• A flexible attitude and a team player
