Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Trading & Sales Assistant to support the Macro desk from our Canary Wharf office in London. You will enter and confirm trade terms, assist with risk controls and regulatory requirements, and support inter-entity trades across EUR/GBP desks.

Role focuses on operational execution, data integrity and timely reporting, with exposure to Excel, VBA/SQL/Python tools, and a high-volume client service environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business or Finance.
• Experience operating in a fast-paced trading/ sales support environment.
• Knowledge of front-to-back trade lifecycle and associated risks.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate technical support to traders and sales on desk.
• Coordinate trade execution with traders, clients and internal teams.
• Maintain trade records, transaction logs and client databases accurately.
• Prepare reports, presentations and documentation for sales/trading activities.
• Monitor market data and assist in financial analysis for trading decisions.
• Process trades, confirm orders and resolve discrepancies.
