Job summary

Prime Finance in London is seeking a Trader Assistant to support daily operations across trade bookings, exceptions, and workflows, coordinating with Tech, Risk and Product teams.

The role emphasizes understanding trading structures, driving timely execution with governance, and collaborating with trading desks and other stakeholders to ensure objectives are met with minimal disruption. You will work in a fast-paced team, driving process improvements and maintaining strong controls.

Qualifications

• Experience of working closely with trading desks.
• Proven track record of driving change and improving processes.
• Knowledge of the front to back Operations process (settlements, regulatory reporting, asset servicing).
• Understand infrastructure groups and recognize impact of Trade support team actions.
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate, explain, and challenge.

Responsibilities

• Support trading desks in trade bookings, priority oversight, exception management and governance.
• Operate as the trading desks' window to wider operations for timely query resolution.
• Collaborate with desks to identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and control.
• Build relationships with technology, product development, QR, vendors and wider operational teams.
• Support a 'one team' approach with Operations and infrastructure groups.
• Ensure all controls are completed and signed-off on a timely basis.
• Communicate clearly with support teams for timely resolution of queries.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives across departments and evolve processes and business architecture.
• Develop in-depth understanding of trading structures from financial and operational perspectives.
