Job summary

OCR Alpha in London is seeking an experienced Trading Assistant / Trade Support to back PMs and Traders across macro products. The role blends core trade support with front-office interaction and opportunities to contribute to automation, process improvement and broader project work.

Candidates should bring 3+ years in trading support or middle office, strong Rates experience (IRS, Swaptions), and solid Python/SQL skills; experience using AI tools for coding is welcomed; buy-side or sell-side

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Trading Assistant, Trade Support or Middle Office role.
• Experience supporting PMs or Traders directly.
• Strong Rates background including IRS and Swaptions.
• Proficient Python and/or SQL with automation/builds demonstrated.
• AI tooling (ChatGPT/Claude) experience welcomed.

OCR is working with one of the world’s leading global macro hedge funds, managing more than $15 billion in assets across the US, Europe and Asia.

The firm is looking to add an experienced Trading Assistant / Trade Support professional to its London team, supporting PMs and Traders across a broad range of macro products. The role will combine core trade support responsibilities with direct front-office interaction, alongside opportunities to contribute to automation, process improvement and wider project work.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience in a Trading Assistant, Trade Support or Middle Office role
• Experience supporting PMs or Traders directly
• A strong Rates background, including products such as Interest Rate Swaps and Swaptions
• Strong Python and/or SQL skills, with clear examples of using technology to automate or improve processes
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to support coding and automation is welcomed
• Buy-side or sell-side backgrounds will both be considered

The firm may consider candidates with less than three years of experience where the profile is otherwise exceptional.
