Exciting role working in the Macmillan information centre at Derby and Burton.
The Macmillan Information Centre Nurse is a leadership role within our organisation, working within the Macmillan information and support centre at RDH and QHB.
Providing timely and individualised information and support to patients, relatives, carers and staff.
The Macmillan Information Centre nurse will deputise for the Macmillan Information centre lead as required, supervising and guiding the team, volunteers, supporting the provision of a high-quality service. Supporting the Macmillan information centre lead to manage the Macmillan Information and Support Centre.
Delivering specialist Nursing care and support in the Macmillan information centre at Burton and Derby required to assess, plan, implement and evaluate holistic individualised patient centred care in a safe and caring environment whilst acting as the patient's advocate and maintaining privacy and dignity.
Providing support, advice and education to patients/relatives/carers and colleagues within the healthcare team.
Line management of the Macmillan information centre assistants,
Deputise for the Macmillan information centre Lead, Management of the Macmillan Information centre, transformation and improvement of the Macmillan information centre services.
Provide Information, advice and support for cancer patients, relatives, carers and staff.
Implement personalised care, including holistic needs assessments and personalised care and support plans.
