Job summary

Safran Aerospace Wolverhampton is looking to recruit Machinists and shopfloor operatives for our Gears manufacturing team. This is a state-of-the-art machining facility with significant investment in equipment and a skilled workforce.

Shift working and overtime will be required. Full training and support will be provided, and NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification in engineering is mandatory, with around 5 years of precision engineering experience preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline mandatory.
• 5 years' experience in a precision engineering/machining environment preferred.
• Shift work and overtime will be required.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and inspection of aerospace gears.
• Setting, operating and basic programming/offset manipulation of machines.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to introduce new equipment and parts.
• Follow process layouts, work instructions and drawings.
• Maintain quality control and compliance systems.
• Solve basic technical issues.
