Job summary

Safran Landing Systems in Gloucester is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to manufacture precision aerospace components. You will set up and operate advanced CNC/NC machines and work to engineering drawings in a structured manufacturing environment.

The role offers a competitive salary of £40,649 base plus shift allowances, overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension, bonus options, 25 days holiday and onsite facilities.

Qualifications

• Reading engineering drawings and layouts (Essential)
• NVQ Level 3 minimum or time-served apprenticeship (Essential)
• Siemens 840D control experience (Desirable)
• Ability to set and run CNC machines including milling, grinding, turning and mill-turn centres (Essential)

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC/NC equipment (WFL, Mecof) within a structured environment
• Manufacture precision aerospace components to drawings and specs
• Carry out machine set-ups and tool changes
• Maintain high quality standards and support continuous improvement
• Work safely and collaboratively across shifts and teams
