Job summary

Safran's Gloucester site is seeking a CNC Machinist to produce high-integrity aerospace components using CNC/NC machines. You will set up equipment, follow drawings and procedures, and work within a safe, clean 5S environment while contributing to continuous improvement.

The role requires knowledge of machining principles and NC fundamentals, reading drawings, and a relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship. Siemens 840D experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machining principles and NC fundamentals; ability to read drawings/layouts.
• A relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship is essential.
• Siemens 840D Control systems experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set CNC/NC machining equipment per requirements and schedules.
• Manufacture components to drawings, specifications and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, 5S-compliant work environment and support continuous improvement.
