Job summary
Moog Aircraft Group in Wolverhampton is seeking an apprentice trained, experienced Manual / CNC Grinder to join the team at our facility based in Wolverhampton on Shifts once training is completed. At Moog we're focused on the customer and for us this means designing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high profile.
Our Machinists work to exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.
Qualifications
- Apprenticeship in engineering with hands-on grinding experience.
- Cylindrical grinding and CNC experience required.
- Attention to detail and precision to tight tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Experience in Setting, Operating Manual Cylindrical machines S20/RM250 and Setting CNC ( Preferably Studer S33/S31)
- Capability of machining exotic and hardened materials
- Carry out own 1st off inspection and check/complete the necessary quality documentation
- Precision manual cylindrical grinding, working to achieve limits to 0.00005"
- Able to set and run multiple machine / processes.
