Moog Wolverhampton Limited is seeking a skilled Manual Cylindrical Grinder to join their team in Wolverhampton. You will work on high-spec aerospace components, reading drawings and ensuring precise tolerances on S20/RM2500 grinders, with progression to shift work after training.

Role requires a time-served apprenticeship and 10+ years’ experience setting and operating manual cylindrical grinders, with a strong accuracy focus and ownership of the work.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice essential
• 10+ years’ experience setting and operating manual cylindrical grinders
• Strong background in precision grinding to tight tolerances
• Confident reading drawings and working to spec
• Reliable, hands-on, and takes ownership of their work

Responsibilities

• Set and operate manual cylindrical grinding machines (S20/RM2500)
• Grind to very tight tolerances (down to 0.00005”)
• Work from engineering drawings to achieve exact specifications
• Support flow plotting activities including: understanding fluid flow paths and behaviour, map and check flow routes and pressure profiles, consider thermal expansion and geometric constraints
• Grind components to ensure correct flow distribution and performance
• Carry out work that meets strict aerospace quality standards
