Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd in the Telford area is seeking a Machinist for a full-time permanent position. The role offers £15.60 per hour, with nights at £17.10 per hour.

You will join a busy production team, operate and set machinery, read engineering drawings, and contribute to quality control. Training will be provided, with clear opportunities for long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machinist, Machine Operator, or within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating industrial machinery.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work from engineering drawings is beneficial.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• CNC experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operating a range of manufacturing and production machinery.
• Setting and running machinery to meet production targets.
• Monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Reading and following engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Carrying out basic machine adjustments when required.
• Conducting quality inspections on finished components.

About the Role

A well-established and growing manufacturing business in the Telford area is looking to recruit a Machinist to join its busy production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous machining, machine operating, or manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills within a professional engineering environment. CNC experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
