Job summary

Forth Engineering Ltd is looking for a motivated Machining Technician Apprentice to join their team for an immediate start. You will work with experienced engineers and machinists to gain hands-on experience in a professional manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and operate conventional and CNC machinery.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Prepare materials, equipment and tooling for machining activities.
• Manufacture precision components to required specifications and tolerances.
• Develop skills in milling, turning and CNC programming.
• Inspect finished components using measuring equipment to ensure quality standards.
• Identify and report manufacturing defects or equipment faults.
• Complete relevant engineering and production documentation.
• Carry out routine machinery inspections and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Follow company health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Work collaboratively with experienced engineers, technicians and other team members.
• Support continuous improvement activities within the workplace.
