Job summary

Hunter Selection Limited seeks a Machining Lead to join a fast-moving, innovation-driven engineering organisation. You will lead CNC turning/milling operations, drive productivity, read complex drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑performance devices.

Qualifications

Experience operating CNC machines in production environments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
Knowledge of DMG Mori programming platforms (Celos, VPS).
Experience CAD/CAM software (Siemens NX, Mastercam).

Responsibilities

Maximising effectiveness of machine tools to demand.
Drive productivity improvement on CNCs through better tooling, program design, and automation.
Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, drills) according to job requirements.
Load raw materials and verify tooling setup.
Interpret technical drawings and ensure dimensional accuracy.
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Monitor machine performance and report issues promptly.
Apply lean principles and suggest process improvements.
