Taylor Forgings Ltd. is offering a Machine Shop Apprentice role, training you to operate manual lathes, milling and drilling machines while progressing programming for CNC machinery. You’ll learn to read engineering drawings and handle crane and forklift operations as needed.
You will study with apprenticeship specialists, RNN Group, at their Worksop campus on a day-release format, building a solid foundation for a long-term career in engineering.
Taylor Forgings specialise in steel supply to end-user manufacturers, including many of the world\'s leading engineering companies - primarily within the power generation, nuclear, petrochemical, water and rail industries. They also have comprehensive in-house NDT and machining capabilities, both manual and CNC, allowing all types of sub-contract work to be undertaken.
Your training and responsibilities as an Machine Shop Apprentice, will include (but not be limited to) the following:
You\'ll learn side-by-side with experienced engineers who are passionate about sharing their knowledge, giving you hands-on exposure to a wide range of tasks and a real understanding of how the whole business operates. With dedicated mentoring and support, you\'ll build confidence, develop in-demand skills, and lay strong foundations for a long-term career in engineering.
The successful candidate will continue their studies with apprenticeship specialists, RNN Group at their Worksop campus on a day release format, giving you the training and support you need to become an all-rounded and successful Engineer.
Monday to Thursday, working hours to be confirmed.
